Breast Cancer Awareness

Sigma Theta Psi's National Philanthropy is Breast Cancer Awareness. Since 1997, Sigma Theta Psi has devoted their efforts to promote awareness of this disease, in its many campuses and surrounding communities.

Our objective is to promote breast cancer awareness by hosting two national events promoted regionally and nine chapter events hosted by local chapters.

Our National event is the Double-D Brunch. It takes place twice a year throughout the northern and southern regions. The Northern Double D Brunch is hosted every Fall by SJSU, CSUS, CSUMB and Stanford University. The Southern Double D Brunch is hosted every Spring by SDSU, MSMC, LB, and USC.

Here at the Epsilon chapter of Sigma Theta Psi, we host a yearly event during the spring in order to raise money for a breast cancer family in need. During October, we strive to increase breast cancer awareness on campus by weekly tabling.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Although Breast Cancer Awareness is a year round mindset for Sigma Theta Psi, things really get kicked into geat during the month of October! From tabling, to run walks and some super cool events, you can be certain that we are pioneering for this cause. Watch out! Because on Wednesdays, we wear PINK!
